HIGHSCOOL: EXPECTATION VS REALITY

High school can be a roller coaster of emotions. You expect it to be all rainbows and sunshine but you get tornadoes and storms. Here are a list of expectations and realities

EXPECTATION: POPULARITY DETERMINES EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU

REALITY: Being Popular in school is not as fun and interesting as the movies make it sound. Yes, their are kids in school who are more social and outgoing and others but that does not mean you have to do the same. High school fame becomes irrelevant the moment you leave the school and are off to college. The 10 seconds of fame is over and you have to deal with the real world.

EXPECTATION: YOU NEED TO BE FANCILY DRESSED EVERYDAY

REALITY: Almost 99% of the time, No one actually cares about how you dress or look like and you do not need to impress anyone at all. As far as you are not breaking any dress codes, wear whatever makes you feel happy.

EXPECTATION: ALL TEACHERS ARE MEAN AND STRICT

REALITY: For the most of it, teachers are really nice and understanding. Their may be a few not-so-nice teachers but they are not as mean as movies and shows portray them to be. Do your assignments, focus in classes, concentrate and your teachers will do you no harm.

EXPECTATION: FINDING YOUR BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND WOULD BE LIKE THE MOVIES

REALITIES: Most of us are familiar with the classic Disney love story which seems all perfect and happily ever after, It is absolutely nothing like that. You may find your significant other but its most likely going to be a normal encounter.
